16" and 18" refers to the width of the fire opening and NOT the size of the ash pan.

The dimensions of the 16" ash pan are: 200mm x 285mm x 190mm x 35mm

The dimensions of the 18" ash pan are: 195mm x 345mm x 220mm x 45mm
